About
Marin Faherty is a full-time student, full-time server, full-time knitter and full-time career chaser. Since the age of 15, her life has consisted of balancing her education, employment and career building extracurriculars, all while soaking up as much knowledge as she can. A first job as a lifeguard, then Head Guard, Marin learned to take on a large amount of responsibility at a young age. Long work weeks and Advanced Placement classes honed crucial time management skills, an unwavering, strong work ethic, and how to appropriately converse with people from all different walks of life. Going into college with a heart for helping others, Ronald McDonald House Charities became Marin’s passion. While at the house, she moved from volunteer to intern, taking the initiative to help them revamp their social media presence.
In addition to her keen eye for social media, continuing to create a professional presence on Twitter (@marinfaherty), Instagram (@marinthebat) and LinkedIn (https://www.linkedin.com/in/marinfaherty/), Marin continues to juggle being a full-time server while strengthening her public relations skills as a publicist for Her Campus at VCU. An aspiring non-profit public relations representative, Marin’s experience with interpersonal relations, social media management, and her full-time work ethic are crucial to success in the field.
